I had mintex 1155 pads front and rear on a 99 uk turbo.

Good points; cheap, good stopping versus OEM

Bad points; eat discs, squeal like hell at slow speed

I now have Pagid 4-2-1 on front with tarox on rear. Dearer but much better for stopping and noise. I would be a lot happier if Pagids were also made for the rear but they're not. I felt that the balance of the car was probably better with the same pads all round but I could not stand the noise and to be honest the braking distance is less with the Pagids. IIRC the mintex didn't last too long either circa 25000 and the pagids are still going strong with 35000+ and the discs look OK too.
