Default Tyres.. any good

Hi,

I have been offered the following tyres for very little money however not sure if they are worth the hassle or I should splash on some more well known dearer makes.

Manufaturer: FALKEN ZE-512

The Falken ZE-512 is an all season performance tyre desinged for saloon cars and perforamance cars. The ZE-512 is an aggressive pattern and performs well bothi in dry and wet condions.Uni-directional tread design and circumferential grooves for superior wet weather handling. Smooth, quiet, comfortable ride. Improved rim protection ridge protects expensive custom wheels
New multi-radius profile increases contact pressure and low profile styling

Ah nvm, just did a search, these are not that great. I have ordered some Avon ZZ3's at a good price, seem to be regarded quite highly

Been hammering the Avon ZZ3's today and quite impressed, overall grip is great and a lot more stable in the wet compared the Bridgestones but the Avon's being midrange tyres lack a hard sidewall like the Bridgestones so the tend to wallow under hard cornering even with the 40 profile (I went for 215/40/ZR17 spec).

The are much more noiser than the Bridgestones though however this might be because of the RA being so crap at keeping noise out.
