Its time for a new set of tyres and the cheapest in the Lincoln area are the following (all in, total each price)
F1 - £117 each
Pirelli P7000 - £107 each
Yokohama 520 - £100 each
Toyo T1-S - £100 each
what would you guys recommend ?
and i know, tyres are expensive in Lincoln, always have been.
Thanks in advance
Kevin

Just put 2 F1's on the rear and I am very happy with them, replaced the original RE01's which were very very slippery.
They only cost £82 each including Nitrogen rather than air.
I have no idea what the reasons for using Nitrogen are.

Hello Kevin,
Dont buy the Yoko 520's I've just removed all four of mine and replaced them with Toyo T1-S.
The yoko's suffer from tram-lining and are very noisy at speed! Where as my Toyo's even though they have only done about 100 miles are so much better, the car drives in a straight line and taking corners at speed is alot less scary!

Toyo's on our MY01 are excellent. F1 get good reviews.
I would not rate the P7000 as a performance tyre and certainly not suitable for the Impreza, the P zero and Pzero rosso are above the P7000 technically, and even they are not too clever.
I have used A520's on Peugeots in the past. Not impressed.
Also consider the S03. IMVHO the best of the lot, using them at present.
Remember, the tyres are the only thing keeping you on the road. Life is full of compromises but an Impreza ALWAYS deserves the best tyres, not the cheapest.

Just got 2 Eagle F1's delivered from Northampton tyres for £150 & then fitted at local garage for £25. See F1's or Toyos thread re Protyre, they appear to be even cheaper.
It seems a case of 2 threes or 1 six with regards to F1's or Toyos. Decided to go for the F1's as from reading everyones thoughts on here my overall impression was that F1's were perhaps better in the wet. Lets face it, the roads in the UK appear to be wet more than they are dry and isn't it in these conditions when the Scooby is supposed to excel?
I also had A520's on a 205 1.9Gti and didn't rate them. Not half as good as previous A510's. It appears that in some peoples opinion this is what has happened with the SO2's being replaced by the SO3's.
