Big Brake Conversions?
Just wondering,
Is there a 'kit' that allows the standard Subaru 4 pot front calipers to be spaced out away from the hub and therefore use a larger diameter disc?
I've seen the ones on the Godspeed site, but they use thicker discs and fancy two piece discs. Very nice, but perhaps a little rich for my wallet at the mo.
I've emailed Godspeed but it is the bank holiday and I'm impatient
Anyone?

The only kit I know of that retains the standard Subaru 4 pot calipers is the 335mm kit I make , It is on offer at the moment at £595 , it will match any other kit of the same size in performance with the right pads , as long as your calipers are working right with no sticky pistons.
Mr terzo , I can supply you matching grooved rear discs to match the fronts to go with the 2 pot rears , along with pads and the mounting bracket kit to fit them to the classic hubs
Cheers Ian

The kit you sell is quite obviously very good. Just out of interest though, you mention you sell a slightly larger pad to make use of the increased swept area of the disc; what make and model number are the pads?
Also, what cost is a replacement disc?
These things don't last forever so will need replacing at some point, just wondered on what price the upkeep would be?

My current set up with M1155 pads is fine for me at the moment and seem to do the trick admireably on the road. More than enough braking in my opinion.
I am looking at swapping the rears for the 2 pot versions to match the fronts though, partly for the looks (vein I know) but I'm a strong believer in keeping the balance correct. Just got to start collecting bits really rather than pay some of the prices on Ebay at the moment.
