Default What front discs and pads for 03 sti

I'm a newbie after a bit of advice.
My 03 STI needs new front brake discs and pads and i was thinking of replacing the originals with Black Diamond or Tarox discs/pads, what do you guys suggest and what type would you recommend i.e Grooved or X drilled/Grooved as it will be mainly for fast road use.
Your help would be greatly appreciated

HI
I would go with grooved only discs as the drilled discs can crack around the holes , if you use a good pad and drive the car hard , or do track days , they can generate much more heat than a standard pad , and its the heat that will cause the discs to start cracking , the holes are a weak point on the discs .

There are 2 types of discs available for your car , a one piece disc which is the same as you have fitted from standard , I can offer you these grooved for £195 a pair.
The second type of discs is a 2 piece disc and bell , these are more suited to a harder driver or someone doing track days , as the discs expand and contract as they heat up and cool down , the discs can move on the bell so is virtually impossible to warp , also as the centre of the bells are made from alluminium they will dissapate heat quicker than a one piece steel/iron disc so the disc will stay cooler and also not transmit as much heat into the hubs and bearings , and thirdly , they are lighter than the standard discs so the unsprung weight is reduced.
Our 2 piece discs and bells are normally £350 a pair , but there is a group buy ongoing and these discs are £300 a pair.

All my discs come with a 12 month guarantee against warping even if you do track days. no other disc manufacturer will offer that.

I can also offer all makes of pads
Hope this helps

Cheers Ian
