Eagle F1 GSD3s rear and F1 Asymetric front
I am needing new tyres soon and although fronts are ready to be changed backs still have 5000 miles on them. I have F1 GSD3's on at the moment and was looking to just change the fronts. Would I have any problems changing to Assymetrics on the front and leave the GSd3's on the rear. When the rears need doing I will change to Assymetrics on the rear.

GSD3's and Assymericos
don't know if it's too late to stop you but this combination on my MY98 was almost fatal for me, the gsd3's on the rear push the car very well and the asyms are useless in these conditions, they seem to provide no feedback and then just understeer like crap.

If you mean asymetrics then there must be something else wrong. Provided they've done a few hundred miles they are absolutely fantastic.
The only other thing I'd not be sure about is using different tyres f/r on an AWD car..!

Tyres
Seriously, i had the Pirelli's all round and they were ok in the dry and dangerous in the wet, anyway decided that enough was enough and changed to GSD3's the garage could only do two as one of the four tyres was missing, so i had pirelli's on the front and GSD3's on the back and on my normal drive home that eveing the car just wanted to understeer all the time to the point where i almost ended up in the ditch. next day the front's were changed as well and the car was transformed, no more understeer, and the wet and damp grip was sooooo much better. Before you say must have been alignment, i had the car aligned and checked multiple times.
