will these fit my 94wrx, and would i need to use the brake flexi hoses from a newer model, thanks

Yes they will fit, use the original hoses off your 94.....

cheers mate sorry to seem an absolute novice but does the 05 have the same pcd as the 94 and will my 17s fit over there the same as p1 alloys? cheers mate

Assuming the 4 pots that you're on about are the WRX ones, and not the STI ones then they will fit fine, i should have said before that the STI calipers whilst they will bolt on, are huge in comparison, and may not fit in your wheels..... but like i say, the wrx ones will fit, the pcd is the same on the wrx as the 94.... and as the P1 came with those same calipers they'll fit fine too!!
