Will this tyre sizing be advisable?
hi guys,
ok my Advan Rs rims are 18 x 8.5. My current R888 tyres on them atm are in 235/40 ZR18 sizing. Is it advisable to fit 225/40 R18 on there and will it affect the handling in ANY way?

I doubt you will notice, unless right on the ragged edge at a track near you....

If you stretch a narrower tyre the sidewalls are stiffer, so less roll.
A (much) wider tyre would leave the sidewalls soft and fabby.... in general terms.

Not sure if this helps but I have 225/35/18 on My Work Emotions 18x7.5, your wheels are a other inch wider so I would say they would be stretched quite alot.
