Default Why can i only have 7.5" Wide Alloys

Now forgive my ignorance on my old car i used to have 18" x 8" alloys and kept them when i sold the car on. To my unhappiness i got told these wouldnt fit my 04 STi as the ET is too much can anyone explain why and is there a way can get my 18s to go on the car ..... usually have 225/40/18s on the wheels

What 18s are they? What ET too? 18x8 alloys have been fit on lots on newages, so I'm sure you could fit them, but I can't confirm as we don't know what alloys they are.

NO !
Stupid boy !
I've seen the pictures on the NYSOC club area....

Seriously, unless you fit a huge wide arch bodykit you aint gonna get 'em to fit. Ever.

Sorry !

they are 18" Matrix Shadows 5 x 100 ET 35 it says on the inside of one of the spokes.

I did a trial fit on the car without the tyres on and it looked okay.

ET35 will stick out too far and will catch wheel arches, adversly affect geometry, and possibly overload wheel bearings. Max ET you can get away with is 45. Prodrive PFF7s are ET51.

No it didn't look o.k. it looked like it should be on the railway system....

Sorry Steve !

Wheels are personal, some like lots of spokes, some don't how much you wanna spend ?

P.S. Spray yours bright silver and be done with it...

P.P.S. If there is loads of alloy on the seating face of the wheel.... a wheel specialist MAY be able to reduce the offset on a lathe, if the spokes will still clear your Brembos.

Someone will take them off your hands, but not worth silly money.
Try NYSOC first, use STI wheels for trackdays, (like me!)
