Mike, i have had them for ages, really happy with the conversion, i think i've now fitted 3 sets for other people..... get grooved only discs, i am currently using ds2500's, they are that good that on track, my passenger ended up standing in the footwell, ie, no weight on the seat!!

Confirming the other impressions, had them fitted (grooved, ds2500) a week ago and went to bedford autodrome straight after bedding them in.
I do brake really hard and before the conversion I always felt my impreza was seriously lacking in the brake department compared to my previous cars.
After the conversion, it is now the best braking car I have owned. Not only the brake are much stronger than original, I also gain better control under braking.
Last thing, on my previous airfield day, I went through half a ds2500 standard pads. At bedford autodrome (heavier on brakes) I went through 15% of Godspeed DS2500 pads. At £140 the pads thats a saving of £90 a track day.

word of warning, Its not a simple DIY job to fit them, you must be proficient with a spanner or find someone you trust to do the fitting. You cant afford your brakes to go wrong!

I have a Godspeed 335mm big brake conversion kit for the Bugeye sat in my garage along with Ferrodo and Pagid Blue pads

I swapped them for a Tar-Ox 12 pot conversion as it was going for a silly price LOL

Are you interested ??

I note the comments about the Ferrodo pads....good performance but so dirty they can turn a set of gold wheels an anthracite colour in no time !!

Hence the Pagid blue pads !!

Cheers

I really cant get people who rate DS2500's for track. They must have NO experience of a proper set up lol

I know its all personal choice etc but even the BIGGEST and most respected brake manufacturer in the world only rates them as low end road pads

Pads, Air Jacks, Brake Calipers, Brake Discs, Brake Fluid, Brake Kits, Clutches, Master Cylinders, Pedal Boxes, Slave Cylinders from AP Racing

Some of the Pagid range are down there too

Do yourselves a favour and move on if your serious...

I have them and they are a good bit of kit. They have been fitted for over 3 years with no trouble.

Had loads of different pads in, including some 20 quiders! which were actually ok for slow road use. Anything like sustained hard braking and they would fade badly. Mintex and Ferodo's have been good.

Not really noticed any pad being better for keeping dust off the wheels. I use Meguiars on the wheels which helps alot for cleaning.

Back to the kit, buy a set IF you cant stretch to the AP stuff.

Wayne.
