Default Can I Swap My Round Brake Res Tank For a Square One??

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering can I swap my round brake res tank for a later spec square/rectangle tank? Or will I need to swap the entire brake master cyclinder?

I was given a chrome cover for it, and I've seen the square brake tanks on eBay go for £1, so though it might be a chep way to tidy the engine bay.

If not I'll put the chrome piece up for sale.

Does it have to be the facelift classic brake master cylinder or can it be the bug eye one or hawkeye?

Do you mean just change the fluid reservoir? Or that and the bit it's attached to?

If just the reservoir, then I don't know.

If it's both bits at once, then you have to make sure you get the correct one.

ABS equipped cars only have 2 brake line outlets, where the non-ABS have 4 outlets.

Brake lines will possibly need changing or adapting.

I'm going to have this done at some point. Already have the reservoir and alloy bit ready.

I'm not too bothered about changing both bits, if it needs to be done that way then so be it.
