Default Replacing brake hoses (nut size)

Currently fitting braided hoses at the front, but ran into some problems...

What's the size of the "in line" nut that attaches the flexible brake hose to the hard brake lines?

Also, is it ok to heat it up with a torch if it's stuck? Tried unsuccessfully undoing it with a spanner yesterday, and it just starts twisting the actual brake line... Is it OK to hold the brake line in place with a mole grip or similar?

I used an amount of heat, it helped no end, never even strained the nuts.

From memory its 10 or 11mm AF.

Mole grips are a last resort in my book, you will more than likely just ruin the sleeve nut meaning you will have to replace it and form a new end.
All easily done assuming you have the gear.

Cool, thanks for the reply

Managed to get the *******s off in the end... had to go to halfords and buy the proper tool and hold the other end with a mole grip in the end... Didn't damage the hard pipe, luckily, so the braided ones should go on without problems hopefully

i struggled with mine too, but did it with a mole grips with a hard sharp pull, worked for both sides.
just leave it attached to the body in the holder stops it moving
