18" alloys which tyres?
can i run 18" alloys with 215/40/18 tyres on my99 classic lowered with eibach springs or do you need to stick with 215/35/18?

Hi mate
I had 215/40/18's on a classic that was lowered 35mm. Fronts were fine but the rears rubbed even with only 1 rear passenger.
If i was running 18's now on a lowered classic I'd go for 215/35/18's.

^^^^But the poster of the thread has a MY99 classic. Theres much less wheel clearance on classics.
I forgot to mention, I had 215/40/18's with the standard suspension, and it was generally ok, but when I lowered it the 35mm, the rears rubbed a lot.

check my profile, i have 215/35/18 and im using coilovers, i have it sitting very low but had to modify my wheels slightly to allow them to sit in further, i definetly couldnt get away with 215/40
