road legal track tyres
looking for a set of trackday tyres for my spares,everybody uses the toyo r888 but been looking at dunlop dz02 or yoko a048's but cant find out if these are road legal or not anyone know and anyone have any experience with these tyres or should i just stick with the toyo's

Yep - road legal
Yoko's will last longer than the 888's as they are slightly harder in comound and will survive 30 constant lapping on track before going too mushy. Wear is pretty good too if you get the cambers/pressures sorted.
DZ02G are a great tyre too and well worth trying but more money.
There is a great deal on the A048's in the SIDC shop.
btw - you will love any of them

I have been trying to find someone who has used Hankook Rs2 track day tyres....might be worth checking them out as they are well priced.

Yoko A048s are definitely road legal - my Lotus Exige came with them as standard. Can't say I'd recommend them when trying to get home on a rainy night though! Appalling in standing water
