Default Brake pedal

Guys have been driving a new astra all week (hire car) and the brakes were really sharp, having got back in the old scoob the pedal seems really hard and needs a good shove to get them working, it has the AP 4 pots on it !

Is it normal?

The astra is just over assisted. Will probably wilt after a few hard stops. Peugeots are even worse for this. I like a nice firm pedal with some real stop when pressed hard.

Yup, My 80 year old father has a 306. I thought it was his driving, but it's the car. NASTY grabby brakes.
