Question new rusty brake disc/rotors

hi
I won an auction for a pair of brake rotors but they look rusty. Is there going to be any problems?

Question

really? ok thats good
It does look abit weird. I always see the shiny discs, haven't seen something like this before.
btw, how long do these discs last if I put in storage? I'm not intending to replace my brake at the moment.

what's wet'n'dry?

thx for replying.

Wet and dry is a very fine grade of sandpaper available at any good motor factor's. The discs's will pretty much last forever if stored correctly they aren't like tyre's for example which do have a shelf life. Give them a light going over with the wet and dry to remove the rust then if you are planning on storing them for an exstended amount of time give them a light spray with a contact oil (i use Duck Oil). But remember to take the oil off them with some sort brake cleaner/ degreaser prior to actually fitting them to your scoob.
