stuck fitting Redstuff pads to a '04 WRX
Trying to fit new DP3826C Redstuff pads to the rear of my 2004 WRX. Got the old pads off but the new pads provided by the supplier aren't exactly the same and its not clear how to get them to fit or whether they are even the correct ones now that I can compare them against the old.
The inside pad of each pair has a little metal wear indicator thingy that on the old set simply wraps over the edge of the pad and sticks out towards in the direction of the pad material face. But on the new ones the metal wear indicator first bends upwards away from the metal backing plate before bending back in the direction of the pad material face. Consequently the pad won't slide into the caliper even with the piston full rewound, cause it means the pad + metal thingy is too wide to slide between disc and caliper.
Have I been sent the wrong pads? or am I doing something wrong?
Am a bit baffled so any help would be greatly appreciated!

The dealer might have given you a look a like pad that fits the old Nissan 300Zx these also fit the WRX but have a different wear clip, i'd just take the clip off, you can see when the pads are wearing low, if there anything like mine they'll last ages.
Good Luck.....

Yeah the box says Nissan 300ZX on it. Am a bit annoyed cause the supplier in this case was EBC Direct and they even gave me a call to check the spec on the car before they sent them out.
Funnily enough came to the same conclusion (out of sheer frustration) and hacked the wear clip off as the new pad was exactly the same as the old in every other respect.
Thanks for the help tho guys
