WHAT WHEELS, WHAT OFFSET
Hello everyone, thanks to JH for helping decide on which alarm to buy. however, my sti wagon has crap 15" wheels and looks like a pram. i wish to upgrade to 17" what do i need to know? also what tyres to buy? i know proxis are in at the moment. mainly i'm interested in wet weather grip as it rains quite a bit here in the highlands. i'd rather compromise dry ability and have safer wet handling.

This is going to get a very broad response as wheels are all down to personal taste.
In terms of fitments you need a 17"x7~7.5" rim with an offset of about 48 and a pcd of 5X100. Proxes are great in the wet and dry and you'll need a 215/40x17 but could equally use a 205/40x17.
I got my rims of a group buy on here from Rare Rims but there's loads of choice out there.
James.
