Default Vredestein Sessanta

Has anyone any experience of these tyres?
Vredestein seem to have a reasonable reputation in the "everyday" designs and sizes, but what about their high performance range?

I have the Sessanta on 235/40/18 and I like them.
I bought mine from Zak at Mocom Racing - Performance car and trackday products which is Essex seeing your location.

Better performance, looking and substantially cheaper than the Mich PS2's I was running before.

I use the 'standard' Ultrac's not the Sessanta, but very impressed with them.

Recently upgraded my brakes and in the dry I've not had the anti lock system kick in, despite braking damn hard so I could learn about the new brakes and at a Brand track day a few days ago I was keeping up / even catching Lotus Elise's through corners!!

I've had suspension mods since using Toyos so unfair to compare and I'm only running normal 205 50 16s but I've got more braking grip then I hope I ever need and cornering like an Elise sounds good to me

Although I'm nowhere near replacement time on my Avon ZZ3's, they took my eye in Elites in Rainham when getting new tyres on the wifes car, the other day. Seems they're worth keeping in mind?
235/40 18 - that's taking the gearing up a bit on the STi! Would normally be 225's

Not really, 225 is ideal on a 7.5" rim but on the 8" rim 235 is a much better fit and still within speedo tollerances. Something like a Mich PS2 I found stretched over an 18x8" rim. 235 is only 1mph over stock or 1.7%. I think last time I was researching tyres, Prodrive recommeded a 235 on the post 05 cars. Pre 05 there were rubbing issues, although I know a few that have the 235's on pre 05 cars with no issues. Interestingly the post 05 cars have the rubber strips on the rear arch removed.

I found my previous Toyo T1s 225/40-18 appeared stretched on the 8" (PFF7) My current Avons are ok.
The 235's will probably bring the speedo reading pretty well correct? According to my Origin unit the speedo overeads 3-5% on 225's on my 03 STi
