As above, thinking of wrapping my new alloys in a set.
Have a pretty much standard sti3.
Is it worth it? How long do they last on the road?

I'd advise against this. They only come with 5mm tread (road tyres come with 8mm), they are very soft and give notceably more grip than F1s on a dry road, are OK in damp conditions, but are not designed for really wet surfaces and aquaplane alarmingly.
I'm only likely to get 3 or 4 track days out of the set I bought and I don't think they're worth it even for track (on cost grounds) and my next set of track tyres are going to be something harder. Although I'll lose a bit of grip I'm sure I'll have just as much fun on something more mundane.

Their wet characteristics aren't really suited to road use. It's possible to run them 24/7 but as above, on a primary car I'd advise against it.
How the weather has been recently you'll find yourself lifting up quite a lot in heavy rain.
