Goodridge Hoses for Classic
I have a set of Goodridge hoses for my year 2000 UK Turbo 2000. After removing all the fluid and one hose (front passenger -no reaon for starting here!). The Goodridge hose has a big lump of metal between the two ends, that moves up and down, thats used to locate onto the suspension strut and is held in by a clip.
It does not go in far enough though, and I have seen other threads about filing them down - or as advised by the place I bought them, cable tie them to the strut - hmmm.... Not sure if I have the patience to file them all down.
I've asked a machine shop to take the face off them all, for £5 a hose. Just incase anyone else is doing the same job and wandering why they dont fit - they dont! Little bit bad that eh for such an important part.

I noticed the same problem when I did mine, and while the metal bit didn't seem to push through the hole for it on the strut, using a bit of brute force and ignorance I was able to push it far enough through and get the retaining clip on securely, and it's still there several months later.

Hiya,
I had the same problem, just put a post up about it with pictures.

Filing the flats down, no problem, it's the larger retaining clip that is needed for secure fitment that is the main problem, even bending it to suit does not offer a secure fit
