Two weeks on with AP's..;)
As already mentioned in a few threads I had some AP 4 pots/330 discs/DS2500's fitted to my modded 05 WRX a few weeks ago.
Now I've had the chance to assess them, they are probably the best mod I've had (and I've done a few, lol..)..!
The confidence they give is unbelievable. I hadn't noticed that I'd become so used to the mediocre oem setup (although I ran uprated pads/fluid and hoses) that I probably was only using around 50% of the cars potential..!
Now the car feels like it's got another 100bhp, which is purely down to my confidence in the eyeball popping ability to slow down that I now have..
I was told the difference would be night and day, but being a bit of a realist I took this with a pinch of salt, how wrong I was..!
Happy days..
Sorry for the self indulgence, but I though those running around with 300bhp+ NA WRX's on std brakes should know what they're missing..!
Big thanks to Mike at Scooby Mania for the advice and excellent service/fitting..

Can't wait to get my mine fitted now after reading this. Just finding the time to get booked in around work is proving to be a pain for me!
Glad that your happy with your purchase.

Trust me mate, you'll feel like you've got a different car..!
All my previous cars have been some of the best hot hatches on the market and typically they have excellent braking as standard (mainly due to the weight). So I've always been a bit wary of the oem brakes on the scoob (even with uprated pads/hoses etc).
Now however, the car brakes like nothing I've ever experienced..!
Which kit are you getting and what scoob have you got..?

I have already purchased the 6 pot 355mm front kit along with the 4 pot 335mm rear kit. I have an MY06 Spec C Type-RA. Just real busy with work at the moment so time isn't something I have a lot of, well at least not to take a day off to get some mods fitted anyway. Have to get round to it soon though as the boxes are sat in the spare bedroom gathering dust!

I've had my Ap's (6-pot, 330mm) for about two years now and they have been a great mod, well worth it.
Over time you will get used to them to the point that they don't feel that special. It's only when you drive another car with std brakes and then back into your own that you feel the full effect of just how good they really are.

A lot..! But IMHO worth it if you want to get the best out of a modded scoob.
There are other big brake kits out there that are probably 'almost' as good, but if you're spending over a grand, then to me, the extra few hundred is a no brainer..
