P1 17"s or 18"s? Indecision city!

Just purchased my lovely MY99 STi and can't decide if forking out the extra few hundred pounds for the 18"s is worth it (=. Def. going for Oz SuperL's... Any useful suggestions?? Will I end up with problems with 18"s rubbing and then have to modify wheel arches?

cant see why. P1 arches are no different from yours so how can they fit ok but yours not. So long as you get the correct offset all should be fine (et52/53???).
Personally in that style of rim, I have to look at teh tyre lettering to know what size it is. I wouldnt bother myself!

Point taken - seems there is a lack of tyre choice as well so maybe the 17"s are best all round. I also often have a full car so don't want the tyres hitting the arches when the car is full.

I have worked my way up to 18" but say the best all rounder in my option are the 17" my last 17"s were the OZ SuperLs you can feel the car pull harder with the wheels being so light:-)
I now run the P1 wheels in 18"'s even though I run solid drop links f&r, cusco strut braces f&r, suspension pro-drive prof kit with uprated sway bar, P1 geom settings you still get a fair bit of tilt round bends, apart from that no rub (53offset)not looking forward to buying new tyres though.
I would say go for a drive in a scoob with 18" on first.

Thanks for the tips! Don't suppose you live local to me?? Would love to see how your car feels although by the sounds of it, I think it would feel superb with all the mods! Not sure I could compare it to how mine might feel with 18"s...
Any views on the UK300 18"ers? I could source them for a v. good price with Toyo's... That is, "relatively" good price cool:

Could do with uk300 wheel for spare as normal spare does not fit AP 6 pot so told. Tell me where and how much. May go for set so can trash on track. P.S. Uk300 wheels seem good bit more of the bumps felt though.

why would you want the spare to go over the 6 pot? Is the outlay of a spare wheel and tyre really worth it? If you get a flat on the front take one wheel off the back, fit it to the flat on the front and put the space saver on the back. Mmmm, it's easier actually doing it....Might take 10mins more but I'd do it for you if you were willing to fork out a couple of hundred quid
