Default Brembo Cosmetic refurb

I have gold Sti Brembos on the front of my '03 wrx with the standard Subaru two pots on the back. The Brembos are a bit scuffed and I fancy having front and back calipers redone in red. Don't know if that would be powder coat or paint. Is there somewhere that could do this professionally, preferably "while I wait". I don't want the do it yourself with paint from Halfrauds look! Cheers.

I doubt you will get a good finish 'while you wait'.

I recently bought a set of front Brembos, and before taking the old 4 pots off, I took them straight to be re-painted.

I am very happy with the outcome, as they blend into the car better

Yep they do look good. I have the same wheels too in gold. Were the calipers just done at a local paintshop and how about the stickers???

Make sure the paint that goes onto the calipers can handle temperatures upto 250 degrees c, otherwise you could be refurbing them more than a few times.....however, if you dont mind this and fancy a change of colour now and again, it could be a good thing

Even the Gold Brembo paint starts to lose it's colour , as these ones had done.

I did take them to a local paint shop, where they were 'baked' in their oven

Oh, and the Brembo writing on them, I got a vinyl cut out of the Brembo logo, that they sprayed in at the colour of my choice

So you could have whatever colour combo you want

They do look good in black. Could you let me know how much you paid for the black respray? Ta!

Total of £80 inc the Brembo logo.

When I got them back, they looked like new

The black spray job is actually the same as my car , black with blue Mica

Mine were done with Halfords brake paint... I think they look awesome, way better in Red than they were in Gold...!

You've done a good job on those red 'uns and the £80 for the black respray seems good value. All very encouraging. Quite like the idea of matching the colour to the car but then isn't red a faster colour? Hmm decisions.

I would have gone red, but wanted a 'different' coloured Brembo caliper, as you get red Brembos on Evos etc. , I did mine that colour, purely to be different.

+ the only thing that stands out on mine is the 'Brembo' logo

Yes the blue logo looks very different. Where would one go about purchasing or getting hold of the above mentioned brembo vinyl logo cutout stencil type thing?

Ah....just like the Mitsubishi's then, their red brembo's go dark brown after hard track use.

Anywhere that cuts vinyl signage will be able to make you a 'template' for spraying, for the pair, mine cost £5 (which is the company's minimum charge)
