Biggets Brakes for 03 Spec C - 17inch wheel
Hi
i am looking for a brake upgrade for an 03 Spec C.
They must fit under the standard BBS alloys.
Ideally wanting 6pots.
What are my options and what have people had best experiences with?
Many thanks

AP Racing do a 6 pot kit that fits under the standard STi wheel, the kit is CP5570-1017R2.G8, it uses a CP5570 caliper and a 330mm x 28mm disc.
Details are here, select subaru then impreza 2001 to 2007 all models then CP5570 6 pot. You can download a .pdf template that you can print, cut out and try inside your wheel, if the template fits in the wheel then the wheel fits over the brakes. A bit blue peter but very effective.
I've got these and they're excellent, very nice throttle pedal feel, never the slightest suspicion of fading, very effective.

Why the 6 pot and not the 4 pots..?
Extra weight and a lot of extra cost come pad replacement time..!
I doubt even the best of us would notice a difference in braking performance between them either..!

well i have always used 4 pots on the hot hatches i have owned (saxo VTS & Clio 182) so i presumed bigger car, bigger brakes.
but if 4 pots are up to it, maybe a decent set of those will do.
I intend to do the odd track day (4-6 a year) plus the odd 'Ring trip!
