hi peeps well ive just bought some 17 alloys for my wrx import with no tyres knowing they need a refurb. first question is whats the best way to strip the old paint off? is there any way that i can do it?
second question what different tyre sizes will be ok for these alloys?

Tyre wise for classics its 205/45/17 or more commomnly 215/40/17.

Easier to take them to a proper place for a refurb.

Mine has 215/40 17 on it with no problems.

Ask at a decent tyre place for refurbishment. I did, and the place I asked, had a refurb place in the next town, did two WRX '01 wheels for £25. Excellent job, too.

thanks £25 for two wheels sounds cheep is that a full respray and laquer?

thing is guys i wanted spraying in mat gunmetal so i no its going to cost and cant really afford to much because tyres aint cheep these days either.

would they just strip them ? how much do you think it would cost?
