Default 225 wide or 235 wide tyres for uk STi ?

I notice JDM sti's have 235 tyres compared with 225 on the UK sti. What are the pros and cons of the different sizes ?

Can i fit 235 tyres to the 8" standard 06 sti wheels and will they perform better than 225 wide tyres ?

The RIM on the JDM and UK version are identical, thus meaning you can fit the 235's to the UK STi.

Not sure about cons (aqua-planing risk may increase).. but the pros are even further enhanced grip levels.

Edit: Ooo.. here is a con, you cant get the RE070 in the UK in 235 (assuming you meant RE070's).. but u can get them from litchfield for the price of a arm, leg and ********.

Everyone raves about Yokohama A048, less tramlining and road noise than 070's - that's what I'll change to on my 05 STi once the 070's are shot

As said above talk to James @ GRD (:: GRD - Greenwood Racing Developments ::) as he stocks
