Default Which 205/50/16s?

I've owned my 00 since new, and always used the fantastic Bridgestone Pole Position S02s, but they're no longer available, so could someone suggest a decent replacement?

I'm just replacing the rear 2 to start with - I don't know whether to go with some Toyo Proxes, or if there's something else that's better (and decent value).

Thanks

hi, good tyres, goodyear f1 gsd3, dunlop sp9000, toyo t1r, falken fk452 !
pretty much the same for all dry and wet, tyre wear depends
toyo is good and cheap, i'm running sp9000 but prefer the toyo's, better in wet

Thanks

I've had quotes on most of those: Goodyear f1 gsd3 for £92, Toyo t1r for £83, and Falken fk452 for £79 (also the fk512 for £76, not sure if better/worse).

Also had a quote for Goodyear NCT5 at £86 (on sale) - I'll do a search. And one fitter had a P1 and liked the Avon ZZ3 at £90, but I've seen some Avons slated on here.

No I haven't. What's the deal, you order them online, then find a freindly dealer who will fit them and do wheel balancing for you? How much would you expect to pay for the fitting, if you supply your own?
Thanks

Hi Mate,

I wouldn't advocate using different tred patterns front and rear; could severely upset the balance of the car.

I have F1 GSD3s. Excellent tyre- good in all respects, especially in the wet!

Not sure if I'm being slightly naive, but I'm not worried about a different tread pattern front and rear, as long as the rears aren't rubbish compared to the front. I always have the same tyres all round, but my Bridgestone S02s aren't available anymore, and I don't want to just bin the front 2. When they've worn out, I'll be back to all 4 the same.

I'm trying to get the F1 Eagles for a good price, otherwise I'll try the Toyos. Thanks all for the advice.
