EBC RED STUFF CERAMIC PADS & DISC WEAR??
Advice needed please my 55plate STI needs new pads shortly ,have heard good things about the latest EBC CERAMIC RED PADS supposed to have the wear problems sorted out now.
Can anyone comment on the above pad and disc wear with these pads or recomend others for the above car, have used Ferodo ds2500 on my previous WRX

I wouldn't recommend them. on my STi, I was averaging about 15 - 18k miles from a set of DS2500s including track time. I thought I would try the redstuff ceramics as they were quite a bit cheaper and had heard some good things about them.
They weren't as responsive and felt a bit wooden in comparison to the DS2500s, and needed a firmer push of the brake pedal to get the same stopping power. Had the car serviced a few months later, and was advised that they front pads needed replacing. This was after about 6 - 7,000 miles of only moderate road use. They were down to about 1mm of pad material, and had worn quite a bit off the discs, which now had a distinct lip around ther outside.
I had them replaced again just last week, and went for the DS2500s again. Night and day difference. The pedal is now responsive, good levels of bite, even from cold, and they are so much more progressive and easier to use.
Also had new DS2500s and discs fitted to the rear at the same time, as the pads were getting low (40k miles!), and the rear discs were approaching their minimum thickness after 65k miles.
I wouldn't fit the redstuff pads again, and have put them down to experience.
