Brake upgrade for forester
Drive a 2.5XT forester 06 - has PPP. Brakes not as awful as on the impreza I had before, but still occasionally scary.
Car is used for emergency response driving - so often woken in middle of night, straight up to high speed/heavy braking without time for brake pads etc to warm up fully.
Any advice re pads/brake upgrades - I don't think subaru do a brake upgrade for this car. Has standard 17"wheels/tyres

Plenty of upgrades that normally apply to the Impreza also apply to the Forester. In this case you'll probably get a lot more answers over on Subaru Forester Owners Forum - Powered by vBulletin
The US WRX 4-pot brakes fit (just) inside 16" wheels, I'm not sure whether those are the same as Euro WRX 4-pots. The earlier calipers with raised lettering on don't quite fit 16's. Your 17" wheels will allow much more scope.
Interesting use of the vehicle - who'd be paying for the upgrade ?
