Default never bought good tyres before...whats good, and where from!

I have had a look through the forums but there is that much information that skims the answers i am looking for, but nothing really that satisfies my questions.

I have been told it's best to buy tyres off the internet as you can save muchos money.

So basically, i am looking for some top quality tyres, 215/45/17 (currently ZR speed rating).

If possible, a variety of tyres so i can see varying prices. I have no idea whats good, or where to look, so i could search, but i'd prefer some of you good people to share your knowledge and experiences with me!!

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks, Bongo.

On my Scoobs i have tried Pirelli P zero Assymetricos, Toyo T1S, Bridgestone RE40, RE50, RE50A and Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3. Each to their own, but for my style of driving the F1 has it. Just like the feel of them and I know what they are doing. Now on my second set. No one on t'internet could get close to local factor who supplied and fitted 4 for £350 all in. If you go for F1s make sure you get XL.

I'm on my second set of Avon ZZ3's (215/45/17). A decent tyre at a good price. I bought mine last week from Camskill (www.camskill.co.uk). Only cost £63 per corner (and that included VAT and delivery).
