I have just got falken fk-451 215/35 18's for my impreza,they are
superb in the wet and good in the dry, a friend of mine got the same ones but on 215/40 18's for his focus,he was surprised as well. He admitted he thought they were sh*t initially from previous experience with the falken ze-502 and the grb's but the 451's are good, he's happy and he's a fussy b*stard. He only brought the 451's cause he got a minted deal on them initially at 58+vat each.

I've got the Falken FK451's as well in the 215/35/18 on my P1, they're so much better than the Pirelli 205/45/17 ones I had on my previous 17" wheels.

They weren't as cheap as kenny.c's mate's though! But still quite resonable at about 85ish all in.

Thumbs up

I have the RE-01s. They are excellent, if a little noisier than the S-03s I ran before them. Having said which, they are quieter than the Pilots I ran before the S-03s.

RE-01s are regarded as the highest grip tyre in the Bridgestone range. They have been fantastic in the wet and dry to date - well impressed.

Personally I'd go with the S-03s if I had the choice again - an awesome combination of grip in the wet and dry, while not being too noisy (with the caveat on that being they are not great right out of the box). But they aren't cheap...

I changed my PZero's 225/35 18's on my P1 after 4k miles for a number of reasons but mainly because they split but they were crap as well.

I looked around and contemplated Toyo's, Yokohama's, Goodyear F1's but I finally went for a new set of Bridgestone SO2's Pole Potenza's.

They are brilliant and will be getting a set of SO3's next.

Cheers

Phil
