Default Eagle F1s

Hello everyone
I am replacing the tyres on my car currently got Pirrelli Pzeros 205/45/17 these wer standard tyres gonna replace them with Goodyear Eagle F1s as Ive heard these are better in the wet.
Do I stay with the same size ie 205/17 or do I go for 215/17 as some people on this forum have done ?
Really appreciate any help as Im ordering tyres this week from a freind and he wants to know which size I want
Cheers
Steve

Im about to ditch my 215/40 R17s in favour of some Proxes T1R in 205/45 R17. I know a lot of people prefer the 215/40 profile, but I want to go back to the same profile tyres my car had from day one (dealer fitted some Prodrive ST2 17 inch from brand new).

I'd really like to try some Eagle F1s, but they dont do them in 205/45. T1R get good reviews (and I've had them on previous cars), so I'm happy with that.

If you want to try out some Eagle F1s, just go ahead with the 215/40. The outer diameter is barely any different from your 205/45 P-Zeros.

I had Toyo T1-R's on my STi, while they were good when new, performance in the wet dropped dramatically when about half worn.
Changed them to F1's and these really are a lot better especially in all the wet weather were getting just now.

Wouldn't use Toyo's again after using F1's, and not much difference in the price either.

I couldn't agree more with the above. Eagles are dependable in the wet almost until they're worn out. When I had Toyos in the past, they were really nasty in the wet once they'd had a bit of wear.
