There is silicon brake fluid called Automec which does not absorb moisture and has a boiling point of 260 C. You can get it from their website it is also avaliable from Demon Tweeks. Not sure about anywhere else. Hope this helps Steve

The silicone based stuff is dot 5. The proper stuff is dot 5.1. (How confusing is that?) Check out what AP say about silicon fluid before getting some, it's here. And if that's what AP say then I'll believe them.

Assuming that's put you off get a decent dot 5.1 fluid for fast road use or something like AP551 if you're tracking a lot (but you need to change it regularly). If you really need something unboilable (is that a real word?) then try Castrol SRF or AP660 but it's not cheap.

Silicon brake fluid is useless. Its only virtue is it doesn't absorb moisture, which means if a vehicle has been left standing for ages, eg military, at least is has some chance of stopping without needing a fluid change first

Richard.
