I'll soon have to replace all for corners, what are the best all rounders for 205/50/16. I've been using RE010's which I've seen threads on, saying they are sh*te, and they are.

Answers on a postcard please, or just post.

I've used Pzeros, SO2PPs, and Yoko AVS

Pzero and Yoko - Ace in dry, not that good in wet, both suffer from sudden breakaway.

Pzero probably better than AVS in wet.

SO2PP - awesome wet and dry, but wear FAIRLY quick. Much better than other two in wet. Not much in it in the dry.

All IMHO of course.

Well, because my area of the US gets a bit of all types of weather, I'm running the Dunlop SP Sport 5000 Asymmetricals. I've been happy with them in the dry, they have great stick in the wet, and I'll probably have to wait a bit to test them in the snow and ice. (But I've been told they perform admirably there as well!)

I don't know what your "environmental" factors are, but if you need something other than just a high performance dry tire, this might be a good choice...

I just changed to Toyo's, these are a big improvement on the OEM tyres - much better ride, and at 36/34psi turn in is good.

 

I'm running Goodyear F1's on my car, very good value (£303 for 4, fitted in 17's) and good wet and dry grip, much better than Pzero's and RE010's. Also had Yoko's and wasn't too impressed in the rain...

Favourites at the moment are toyo's T1s, but I couldn't get them at all cheaply (was quoted £440 for 4), I think it depends where you live, also S02's are highly rated not many are left now as they have been replaced by S03's which aren't highly rated in the 16" size.

Very happy with my Toyo Proxies T1's and at £69+vat a corner excellent value.

Can recommend Michelin Pilot Sports, not cheap though, but if you can find them, BFGoodrich Profiler G are a very good tyre for the money, made by Michelin as well...

 

Eagle F1 GS-D2 Fantastic tyre in wet and dry conditions and a fantastic price. Got 4 205 50 16 for 70 quid each all in - thats 280 quid

think it was autoexpress tyre review or some thing like that the Eagles came out joint 1st place with the S02's.

 

Pilot Sport from Michelin. The cost a bit more but they last more than others with the same levels of grip

 

I too am overly impressed with toyo t1s proxes. Bone crushing grip, wet or dry, and cheap relative to other mfgs. I got my last set for £95 each all in fitted. 69+VAT is @@kin cheap ! Where where where !

My dealer got them at trade price for £69 and put them on my car when I bought it. Atlas tyres in Cardiff sell them for £72.

I just got 4 New Falken tyres for £308 fitted and balanced.

I forgot to mention they were 205/45 17.
I just paid £100 to have 4 wheels sandblasted and powder coated Lamborghini Gold (darker than normal gold a bit different and looks great with my dark blue Scooby).

I have just taken off my P1 wheels in favour of some standard 16" wheels.

I've gone from 17" Bridgestone SO2 PP's to 16" Goodyear Eagle F1's.

I have to say that the Goodyears are brilliant! Not quite on par with the Bridgestones, but better than 17" PZero's and 17" Dunlop SP9000's I've used before!

And for less than £300 a set, they are a bargain!!!
