Question 18" Rota GRA (tarmac 2's) & Brembo's ??

Hi gang... I'm just considering the possibilty and costs involved in a Brembo brake upgrade to my classic.... first question is will my Rota's fit over them front and back ?

I'm running 18" Rota GRA's with a 48 offset.

Cheers
Simon

Hi Simon
I am almost certain these will clear the brembo calipers . I think it may state this on the rarerims website.

Thanks
James

Just checked rarerims website and it does state they clear brembo calipers

I was also under the impression they did James but I've spoken with someone that had the P1 wheels that these Rota's are close to in design and they appear not to fit so I really need to check this out before I go any further.
I may have to call on one of our local guys with a new age car just to try a wheel on front and back to double check, it's a gamble otherwise

CLICKY That's the alloys

Just noticed they do them in white now

No problem Si i would want to be 100% aswell. I hope they do otherwise if i go down the brembo route it will mean an alloy change . I know that for some upgrades such as porshe brakes they need to fit spacers.

My eyes nearly fell out when I seen that Porshe set up...
John said even the postman was pointing at them one morning

I've been doing some homework on Brembo fitting as I know nothing really about brakes as yet, it's interesting for sure and I would like to cost everything up and see what the full picture is but I got to make 100% sure they fit first overwise I'll fall at the first hurdle.... I'm not changing my wheels though they are brand spanking still

The wheels are among some of the best around so don't blame you. I have been in Johns car and believe me those brakes do have you hanging off the seat belt lol.

I've been taking some interest in a couple of the threads just lately about rear fitting and have asked my mate who runs the engineering dept in work about making the "bracket" and "dounut" for rear fitment up he says it is possible so I want take a really good look at this with a mind of doing both front and rear if I decide to go down this route, just a costing exercise at this moment so I am aware of the price tag
