Default Vredestein Ultrac... 235-40-18..

Hey chaps,

Picked a set of these up yesterday, they will be fitted tomorrow. Its been a long long wait trying to source these as they seem to be rare as rocking horse sh1te. Ive heard some fantastic feedback regarding these.

If they perform half as good as they look i'll be over the moon.

Anyone else running these?

Hello Frayz, I run ultracs on my Sti 5, excellent grip, wet or dry, give them a couple of days to bed-in, then enjoy.

I'm running Ultracs in 225/45/17. Absolutely superb tyre - grossly underrated IMHO

Just in from a propper session out in the pooring rain..

All i can say is that these are (no bullsh1t) the best tyres ive EVER driven on in the wet. Blows the F1 GSD3 way out of the water and i thought the Goodyears were impossible to beat in the wet!!

Ther is a tight roundabout local to me that is about 30ft in diameter, in the pouring rain i decided to just explore the limits of these tonight.

Please bare in mind i have not scrubbed these in properly yet but increasing on speed on the roundabout gradually to over 45mph and these didnt batter an eyelid.. i was gobsmacked. Only when really really pushed could i get a glimpse of push from the front.

I am yet to push these in the dry yet but these are easily better than anything i have used before:

Toyo T1S
Eagle F1 GSD3
Avon ZZ3
BFGoodrich Profiler G

Cannot yet compare to the RE070 in the dry but im interested in seeing how close these come if at all?

Far and away the 070's are the best thing ive EVER experienced in the dry

Will keep you all updated

Dressed all corners of my Escort Cab in these, they are superb.

I've used vredstein for around 10 years now.

I know they wont last so long on the scoob, but the lasted ages on the scort.

Yes mate, ive always used them, i know the lads in there well and they fitted the tyres to a brand new set of rims out of their boxes..

I was fine with just leaving them to it, they even stood with me while we inspected them all before and after the tyres were fitted

Top lads IMO

Just ordered from:

Tyretraders saves you money on all your tyres inc 4x4 tyres, car tyres, track day tyres and commercial tyres

They can get them to you in 48hrs....

Just slightly cheaper than Mocom, and can supply ALL sizes...

LOL @ Tyretraders webby. FFS that has to be the worst possible format for a website you could possibly design.
Jees did they get a kiddie to write that pile of pish!
And their T1-R's are still dearer than mytyre.co.uk

Yes, glad to see they aren't frittering away money on stuff like decent web page design

But.... nobody else has the Ultracs in all the sizes, so I guess they are better than mytyres in that case...

If you find a size that's not listed on our site it's always worth picking up the phone and asking, we're Vredestein dealers so can supply all sizes (within 48hrs) that are available and on the odd occassion the prices can be a little better to those listed on our site
With Vredestein being a new product line the pages are still being updated.

Anyone fancy some winter tyres
