Default 235/40/18 on 8" rim

I'm just about to take delivery of a new black wagon and I can't say I'm over-enamored with the standard 17's. They look a little lost.

I fancy something that sits more flush to the body and appears to fill the arches a little better but I want to keep as much rubber on there as I can get away with without scrubbing on standard suspension.

I've spent the last 3 years on 225/35/18's on sheffield roads and it wasn't a pleasant experience.

235/40/18's on an 8" rim?

On a wagon it's 225 max and preferably on a 7.5" ET53 wheel to make sure they don't catch. With the right tyre the ride will be significantly better than you had before.

Nice one. Thanks.

Any suggestions as to tyres for a mix of comfort and grip?

We use a Pirelli PZero Nero 225/40ZR18 92Y which works very nicely

I have these, I have had to roll the rear arches though as the wagon doesn't have quite as much room back there as the saloon.
