Default Will the bug eye (01) wheels fit my00 Classic

Hi,
I'm sure you've had this question 1000's times already, but will the bug eye
17" wheels fit my classic without any issues?
I've not had her that long and already looking for ways to improve her already good looks, she has the standard 16" at the mo with Pirellis on the front and Avons on the rear and boy is that nasty in the wet, I remember what its like to actually grimace when you think your not gonna make the corner and i don't mean i was doing silly speeds. The corners were not even tight, I was doing pretty sensible speeds for the miserable conditions and still she was chopping on the corners and didn't feel at all happy..
Your advice is more than welcome on both the wheels and great tyres for our very changable and unpredictable english weather.
Thanks in advance, Julie

They wheels should fit okay but the tyres might rub on the rears, you need to check the tyre size. Classics run okay with a 215 but rub on a 225.

The ideal tyre size is 215 40 17, but the newage cars are fitted with 215 45 17's. if the car isn't lowered ar anything then the 45's will more than likely be fine, if it is lowered, then you only really want to use the 40 profile......

Oh, and the wheels will fit fine....

I have the Toyo's at the moment, and i find them to be fine, possibly not quite so good in the really wet as the Goodyear GSD3's that i have in the garage..... but for an otherwise standard car, i'd say the Toyo's will be fine.....

You are only 10 minutes down the road from Micheldever Tyres, and you can't get much cheaper than them. I tried driving with odd front/rear tyres once - never again.

Now why is it i didn't think of them? I'll give them a bell in the morning to see what they can do me a set for and then I'll let you all know. I can honestly say though i haven't contorted my face like that in years... The sooner they are off the car the better..

I used Micheldever years ago to set up the suspension on my car, it felt like a different car after they'd done it....... seriously!!

Well, gave Micheldever a bell, not a bad price If your sitting down? No, all jokes aside, £343.00 valved, balance and fitted for four Toyo's T1S 215 X 40 X 17's... Not bad at all, although found a good deal on a well known auction site, new Tarmac 10 spoke alloys with toyo T1S fitted £565 all in and delivered, so i think this may be an even better deal than the original Plan A?
Its funny you mention the suspension being set up, someone else said to possibly get that done too, it can apparently save you a fair bit over time with tyre wear as well as better road handling or so i was told which can't be bad ?

That'll no doubt be the same company that supplied my rims then..... not that mine are the Tarmacs, but the same maker.....
