NEW GOLD WHEELS....GOOD CHOICE?
I own a 95 wagon and decided to fit 4 s/h gold wheels 16 in..........well had Kumhos fitted and it handles like a bus and squeals even at low speeds......thinking of having old 15in wheels sprayed gold and putting bac on.......any ideas anyone

Unless the wheels are buckled I wouldn't say it was the wheels, more than likey the tyres, I've had 16", 17" and now 18" and none have ever squealed or made the car drive strange.
Mind you, I've always gone for a quality tyre, Goodyear F1 and now Toyo (Which arn't as good as the F1's)

A classic impreza should be fine on 16s, unless they are damaged.
Have you got the correct tyre size on the 16s?
I would suggest that your problem is the tyres you've fitted, and not the wheels...

yep i agree well they are 205 50 16 ...........perhaps side walls are too soft...........also it follows white lines...........never used to before.........case of wished i had waited another months or so and got michelins or even chose Maxxis which are 200 for four........no problem with them on my ol 15s
