Default The "real" cost of a tyre......

Phoning around this morning in the local area for a couple of Goodyear GSD-3's.

A reputable local dealer quoted me £260 for two.

Fortunately I had just searched on the internet and came across - Black Circle. They quoted me £205 for two (as you probably know they are a national company who use local dealers to fit the tyres. I'm assuming they just take a comission).

Guess who would be the local dealer to fit them ?? Yes, the same one that quoted me £260.

When I mentioned this to the local dealer they said, "Let me have another look at that price".

Thirty seconds later they came up with the same price as Black Circle.

Just goes to show the "real" price of a tyre !!

p.s. - Some very useful threads on here about tyres. Take a well earned pat on the back for your help.

I keep meaning to put a post on recommending the place I got mine done, it's in North Wales near St. Davids Park. I had four GS-D3's (extra load) 215/45/17 fitted for £360, this guy runs a small garage where he takes his time & does it properly. I'll add the details later if that's allowed???
