Default Tyre position and tread depth

Ive got four tyres (yes really- hehe)

2 nearly new Falken ZIEX ZE-512

2 bridgestone re040 6/7mm

which should i put on the front and rears please- any ideas?

Where's the best place on a tyre to measure the tread please?

To be honest, better idea might be to choose one pair and buy two more to match, sell the other two on. Probably the RE040s are easiest to buy or sell second hand on here if you're on a budget as they're OE fitment.
That way you'll have predictable handling.

If you want to go everywhere sideways then put the tyres with less grip on the rear. If your not a driving god and like to be safe then put the tyres with less grip on the front and drive to the grip of the fronts.

Or go and buy some new tyres so they are all the same and as above improve the handling.
