PFF7 (made by speedline) 18x8 weighs 8.5 kg on my bathroom scales. Turini must be similar ?

http://www.wheelweights.net/

Unfortunately turini's aren't listed, however going on the other Speedline 8x18 I'd say around 24lb.

D1CCY, your PFF7 are flow formed (hence the FF- Prodrive Flow Formed 7spoke) which makes them considerably lighter than most cast alloys..

My 8x18 OZ super leggs weigh ~17lb/7.7kgs..

Jasonius,

You're right I forgot that'd make a difference.

Another good way to reduce unsprung weight is to get discs on bells. I weighed my OE Brembo 330 mm discs at 10 kg each. AP strapdiives weigh 8 kg as do AP 330 mm 6 pot discs, mind you the caliper brackets are heavy.

Cheers, Diccy.

Think my scales are dodgy though also read 22.2kgs on one reading but avaraged about 20.5kgs with tyre.

Just for info I weighed the spare bits in my garage last night:

225/40/18 GSD3 XL 4 mm without rim 9.5 kg
Gold 17" STi rim plus RE040 5 mm 21.8 kg

Assuming tyre weights much the same this makes the STi Gold 12.3 kg, no wonder the ride improves when you fit 18s that weigh 4 kg less.
