**** ebc BRAKES
ebc brakes are ****,have just spoken to there technical chap at ebc ,now my car is juddering like mad when you brake on the near side, ive had the discs and pads 18 months and i have hardly worn the discs in and i still have 10mm of pad left on both side,im thinking that ive got a warped disc (i dont no how)
but the chap at ebc says that the disc has been worn in one place more than another because of me FITTING THEM WRONG so causing there to be uneven contact and that it will only get worse, which i find hard to believe as i rubbed down everything before fitting,i think that there is something wrong with the disc, and he just does not give a sh t,
12 month warnty meens ****,it should be how many miles you do as now they want me to buy another
thanks matt

get ebc to put that in wrighting and then take it to the garage that fitted them and see what they say.
one of the guys brakes failed over the weekend and that was on red stuff pads and ebc disks so wouldn't go near them myself.
some people swear by them though so its a bit of a strange one.

EBC brakes are a bit of a strange one. I've heard glowing reports about them, but all I can say is that I've not been impressed with mine (EBC discs & Redstuff pads).
They don't bite from cold and need to be very warm to start working. Then they get hot quickly and fade within 10mins and a half-dozen corners.
Some have said they don't last, but have done about 15,000 miles over the last 12 months.
Not sure what to make of it all to be honest

Have you considered:-
A problem with your n/s/f tyre, or
A sticking calliper, meaning the pads don't knock-off the disc, and are therefore rubbing all the time?
Odd that one disc would warp and not the other.

Also if the cars been sat around in the rain for a couple of days the disc will rust to the pad causing a high spot which will result in a vibration, during the crappy winter mine did this as the car didn't move often.

Can't really comment on the disks but ran red pads a few years back and they destroyed new disks in a matter of months. I recall a lot of people posting the same problems on here back then.
I ended up changing to TSL group N disks and DS2500 pads and was very happy with them.
