Whats the widest tyre i can put on to OE 2001 bugeye 17" alloys I'm needing to buy a set, but also want to buy new 17" alloys and use the same tyres.

So would 235x45 x 17 fit a 7.5inch rim or is it 225x45 x 17.

Not bothered about handling as the car will be fine, its just for looks and fill the arches!

Paul you are only commenting on tyre width, not overall circumference... as for filling the arches 45 will look better than a 40... for stepping out of the arches 235 will look better than a 225.

i would stick with 225/45/17

Ross, thats what I'm after abit of width, going to be runing with 45 anyways, just want a bit of width to the car.
