Brembo brake conversion
Hi i have a 2001 newage wrx with the standard 4 and 2 piston brakes am thinking of changing these to the brembo brakes of the sti. I have 18" BK299 wheels on the car and dont want to have to change these. can anyone tell me if this would be a straight forward conversion with no problems and would the brakes of the newer sti's fit o would i have to stick with the brakes of the bugeye sti.

05 and 06 cars have the same Brembo's.
The only difference is the discs which have different holes in the mounting face for the different stud pcb on the later cars. Should be dead easy to get the disc redrilled between the holes with new holes on the old 100mm pcd for the older stud pattern.
The brembo calipers fit without brackets so unless they've changed the uprights (which I'm virtually certain they haven't) then the calipers will be a direct swop.

Hi im doing the same mods to my 03 WRX, whats involved with the rear replacement ? I was under the impression that a bracket is required to house the caliper / handbrake assembly??
