What default tyres come on 18" wheels
Anyone know what tyres you get if you order a new set of 18" wheels these days from Subaru ?
Thinking about 18's for the first time, but not sure whether to go with wheel + tyre or wheel only and get my own tyres ....

Package deal is normally cheeper.
Unless you want a tyre type not offered as a package you might as well get them together.
I just got 4 18" Excite rims with NEXON N3000 tyres on Ebay for just over £500!

Pre 05 cars it used to be Pirelli p zero nero's(225). Some of the new alloys(05>) have come with Michelin ps2's as prodrive said they gave better performance in the increased size(235). I think they have gone back to a Pirelli PZero Corsa Assymmetrico now though.

Thanks for the replies - bizarrely even Subaru UK couldn't answer re the actual model of the tyre, but they are saying they are Pirelli's.
There's so many different wheels (though less to choose from for the Sti sadly). Can't get the anthracite P-WRC1 ones for example whch is a shame for a Crystal Grey car. Turns out the P-WRC1 wheels don't fit.
Trying now to see if I can get the straightforward 18" Alloy Wheel - Silver wheels, but they don't come with tyres bizarrely enough. Oh if only it was simple :-) cos it says those wheels can have 215/40, 225/35 or 225/40 ..... Aaaaargh.
Mike - you online anywhere with any Prodrive recommendations as to tyre for these wheels ? (SESLSE4000)

Yet more info on this - Part No SACC2513 (P-WRC1 Alloy wheel) 18 inch comes with Pirelli Rossos when ordered from Subaru . Not much good for Sti's but useful to know.
It doesn't get any easier this.... :-)
