Default 18's or 19's

Hi all can i have some opinions on whether to upgrade from 17's to either 18's or 19's.
Would the handling suffer, and if so how?
How much would the speedo be out do you think, bearing in mind it'd already reading 5mph over on 17's at the mo according to my satnav.

Cheers
Chris

17s look fair 18s look very good 19s a bitt ott and you will rip the edges of you wheels to bits every time you touch the smallest of kerbs...18s is the best in my opinion and no differnce in handling..

Fitted 18"s with toyo's to my Bugeye and I found the actual speedo reading improved now only 2 mile out at 30pmh to previous 4mph out.

I did the geometry to prodrive settings at the same time as it was a mod I wanted done so did both at same time with the new tyres etc. Tyres were 225 x 40 x 18.

As for handling it got better eliminating the understeer prior to geometry change and its a lot stickier in the bends and roundabouts than previous. My new alloys were also lighter than my standard Sti ones.

In conclusion I feel it was a combination of changes that made the difference and showing improvment for the better allround in the end up. To say staying with lighter 17" and new tyres with new geometry would be same is another question and is one I cant answer unless I can compare on my car.

Ordered Advan RS 18 x 8.0 for a newage. Look nice in a pic I saw. Heard from Envy today and Advan - Japan don't have them in stock so may take a while to get them. Fitting 235/40 x 18 GY F1's

Some 19"'s are a bit harsh and effect the handling. Keeping my 17" for track days.
