tyre advice needed
I have a 93 Sub Impreza Turbo - Import, standard Sub alloys and I need new tyres.
I have approximately £60-£70 to spend per corner and my local tyre place has mentioned Kumho's????
Ive never heard of these and know very little bout tyres! Has anybody here used Kumho's or are they using Kumho's at present?
Any advice on these or any other tyres for that price would be great!
Thanx in advance

i think generally with tyres, you get what you pay for, alot of makes have roots to motorsport and some of that technology shud filter thru to mainstream products.
Haven't checked costs but kumho do make good tyres for some applications, theres also michelin, bridgestone, toyo, yokohama, avon, some better for wet conditions, some designed for track use and different customers will report differently on different types, possibly dependant on how/where they drive.
Best to trawl through forums or type in tyre makes in a search engine and it shud come up with test reports

I have mnanaged to locate 205/50 r16 w rating Kumhos fitted, balanced, valved and tracked for £60 a corner through a friend of a friend! Dunno whether that is cheap or not but I have also found Toyo T1 fitted tracked and balanced for £75 a corner!
Anybody got any thoughts on these prices????
Also got uneven tread wear in back tyres only, wear on inside back passenger tyre and outside back drivers tyre! Anybody know what might be causing this???? Front tyres have even wear!
My car was stolen a while ago and the back end lightly pranged, back bumper cracked in a few places, i'm wondering whether something has been knocked outa line to cause the uneven wear at the back.
