Default Goodyear F1's to be replaced by Goodyear Excellence?

Greetings...

I ordered some new Goodyear F1 GSD-3's for my car earlier from

e-tyres.co.uk, and just got a call to say they are being made obsolete and

to be replaced by the "Excellence".. Any truth, or are they just out

of stock of F1's??!!

F1's still listed on goodyears website, this is the spec on the Excellence:

http://eu.goodyear.com/uk_en/tires/r...ence/index.jsp

Anyone any info?

Cheers

Chris

I'll observe for a while, but might be time to try something new or get a few in stock

Not really no... sound fairly good though, just not quite as good on the performance ratings

Completely agree, there is no way that "excellence" is a replacement tyre for the Eagle F1 GS-D3!

Thats what I assumed, but when you check around few people have any stock of F1's, and those that do have them on special offer...

So not sure.. But going to get some to try anyway

The Excellence is for Mondeos and the like.

Here's a link to a page where they mention a test of tyres including the Excellence, it shows the competitors to it as well - none of them very likely to appeal to somebody who would have F1's.

I decided to phone Goodyear and ask, seems E-Tyres were talking rubbish! Excellence is to replace the NCT5, not the F1...

So Ive called E-Tyres and got a refund, will get some F1's locally (£8each cheaper too!)

Thanks for the advice
